„We, me and the other old people who need the Sue Ryder home, resemble the ill or wounded birds I once cared for at my home. We are having power to fly only if there is someone by our side. And that is the reason I am here. I am missing my home but I also know that we need help with almost everything and here I am not abandoned in my ageing. Moreover everybody here attends to my wishes in my remaining time."

Eržika Frinková is a chaplain in Sue Ryder. By the nature of her profession, she often owns spiritual care for clients who are at the end of the journey of their days. Therefore, their view of the world and the current situation is different from ours. We still have many years ahead of us. They don't have this time anymore.

Quality beds and good sleep are important for a contented and happy life regardless of the age. This was a consensus of the 194 individual donors, 4 donating companies and the campaign partner Volkswagen Financial Services. And you all contributed to this donation platform aimed at the beds renewal with the sum total of 619 453 Kč.

At Sue Ryder, we strive to improve the quality of long-term care for the elderly throughout the CR. Philip Morris International, on the other hand, likes a long-term cooperation and a well-planned aid that makes sense. Vendula Neumannová was born with cerebral palsy. She lives in a wheelchair and speaks with difficulties. Despite all the tribulations the life have had prepared for her, she managed to complete the history and Czech language studies and received the Doctor of Philosophy degree. She taught at a secondary school. Thanks to her amazing can-do ability and thanks to the personal assistance provided by Sue Ryder she is still able to live at her home.

She was born in Prague in the Leo zodiac sign 37 years ago. A meter sixty tall, she has green eyes and a black sense of humour. A new client is entering the retirement home. He is 84 years old. In order to take care of him well, we need to know his story. It’s a way to make the life-changing event easier for someone of that age.

We started to plan the Spring Olympiad in December 2019.
